Also highly interesting is the "Lagos Calling" gallery featuring African skinhead (originally a working class subculture from the UK) fashions from the 1970's. Yo, Thursday, Friday, Saturday was bonkers. Out of control, FREAK OUT LIKE CRAZY PEOPLE out of control. Making Time was a little too crowded for me but Erol Alkan pumped out the rave jams, playing an hour worth of non vocal tracks, sadly there were few glowsticks which would have made things so much better. Saturday was the jump off for me. Shout out to Kimble for coming through from B-lo. JOTS and White T's held down the basement with a whole different party vibe than the main floor. Shout out to the three girls on stage me. I see you, apparently Jay did too.

• The above photo is Beth Dubber's entry into the summer edition of the Hey, Hot Shot! emerging photographer competition. Contenders are featured on the H,HS! blog and winners will be in an exhibition opening September 5th. All entries must be received by August 7th. Apply here.
• Kameraflage takes "advantage of the fact that digital cameras see a broader spectrum of light (i.e they see more colors) than human eyes" resulting in clothing designs that only show up when photographed. Not quite the emperor's new clothes though. More info (via Cool Hunting)

Drink Moloko just posted an interview with Ian Meyer. You may know of Ian from his websites based at Crewcial.org, or you may know him as the partyographer for the Rub, White Tees (above), or as nerd nerd nerd. Ian's manifesto, if you will, mirrors mine when taking pictures at parties and my initial start in photography. All I need now is to stop dancing so I can bring out a digital SLR.

The Remedy 10th Anniversary Photos

I had a blast at the Remedy Anniversary on Monday. Big Rich and Cosmo killed it. DJ Soul was the special guest. There were free Ayres and Cosmo Scion mixed CD's everywhere. I picked up 2 extra, so the first 2 people to email me at 5151List [at] gmail {dot} com will get one. Questlove showed up minutes after I did to say whats up to Cos and Rich. Brendan was there and was having a blast. Illvibe in the building. Tommy and Thane stopped by. Rachael and Gravy and lots of other people. The place was packed. Shout out to Bird, Has and JC. This was at the end of the night when Diplo started playing Nirvana etc. at Reading Terminal. Friday was killer with First Friday art, custom sneaks at Trinity, Sweatheart and American Sneakers at the Painted Bride, Hail Social at Deep Sleep, Yah Mos Def and KMass at WTHN and then Hands and Knees.

Plastic Little, Bonde Do Role Photos

Um, wow. Being upfront when Plastic Little was on, I almost got crushed. I definitely did have lots of PBR spilled or poured on me. One of the most incredible shows I've been to in awhile. At first I wasn't sure Broadzilla was a good idea because its usually packed on a normal nite. I think it was worth it.
