Steve Bloodbath is bout to move out to LA and leave us all behind. He’s throwing a little shindig this Friday.

Wow…… In two weeks I will be moving to Los Angeles. After a decade in the glorious city of Philadelphia, I have decided to move on; and WHAT A TIME TO GO!!!! This Past week or two has been one of the most special and amazing times in my life. For the first time in i can’t remember when, I am totally convinced that “EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE ALL RIGHT!!!!!!”.
I want my going away party to be as special and wonderful as my time in Philadelphia with all of you has been. To that end; a group of wonderful, talented people has been transferring the Launchpad Gallery into “Where the Wild Things Are” and i can not think of a better theme. Really….. It’s gonna be so great……
This party is going to be amazing; good music, good people, rebuilt bridges, new friends, cheap drinks, hugs, crazy string, love, laughter, substance over form, compassion, passion, memories, and life

Tonight head out to the Walnut Room for the two.one.five issue 3 release party. Steve Bloodbath and Excel on the 1’s and 2’s. I got the third issue and I am continually impressed. One side of the magazine is dedicated to summer road trips while the other side is dedicated to immigration with profiles of a number of different countries including Mexico and Iraq.
Release party is only for subscribers, or subscribe at the door for $20.

Turbostation are bringing that old feeling back with a monthly party at the Trocadero where the concert hall gets turned into a giant two-floor dance party with various Turbostationers positioned upstairs and downstairs. Bloodbath and the Strawberry Mansion DJs control the main room, spinning hip-hop- heavy sets designed for maximum dancing.
Upstairs, Shawn Ryan, Oh Murder! Inc. and the newest member of the crew, Diamond Girl, provide a room for electronic music fans. For the third edition this month, there’ll even be a rotating cast of DJs in the lobby, providing an eclectic soundtrack for those who want to hang out and not dance.

Tonight, come celebrate the launch of Two.One.Five Magazine at Silk City. The event is free with RSVP and starts at 11. DJ’s Statik, King Britt, Steve Bloodbath and White T’s White Belts are all slated to grace the decks. I must say I saw the first issue at the Diplo and friends jawn and it looked really good. Briefly mentioned yesterday, today its officially official. Last minute addition to the tour are vowel haters MSTRKRFT at Transit. Playing the main room with Steve Bloodbath and Shawn Ryan from Hurrah while downstairs White T’s White Belts will have table duties with Ottowa DJs Jokers of the Scene. Note, the White T’s staff includes Dan teh Swede as well as Bo Bliz and Emynd. Congrats to Jokers of the Scene on their recent announcement of their debut EP out on Fools Gold. There was a fierce bidding war but they finally settled with Fools Gold.
