Emynd is old!  He turns 30 and what better way to celebrate than with the don of Unruly Records, Scottie B. Emynd will most likely be too drunk or going to bed early so his better half Bo Bliz will be likely DJing most of the night. We don’t usually post up about DC parties but I saw this and felt it was needed.  I’ve been down to DC a couple times and actually stayed with Stereofaith after the Presidential Inauguration.  He was a great host and even took us around and showed us where the cool spots in DC were.  Stereofaith has also been up to Philly a handful of times to DJ and is a great DJ.  Sadly, he was diagnosed with a tumor and will be undergoing brain surgery.  The party tonight at U Street is a benefit with all proceeds going towards his medical expenses. tittsworth & will eastman (owners of U street music hall ["U hall"]), dave nada and trevor martin got together and put this benefit together in the last 48 hours or so. words can’t express how grateful i am for what they’ve done. they’ve lent every resource available to help me out. it’s unbelievable. i’ve been going to benefit shows for close to 20 years. never in a million years would i ever have thought someone would be throwing a benefit for me. it’s funny how you live your life thinking your invincible and then god, nature, the universe, or whatever you believe in, reels you in and let’s you know that you’re not.
