The Roots were touring Belgium when their tour bus flipped over. Luckily, no one was seriously hurt. From Questo:
next thing i knew was the most surreal feeling ever….
was i upside down?
why am i covered in cereal?
oh shit….that coffee pot is coming for my face!!!
in reality the crash was all of about 7 seconds….but to do a 360 on the highway and end up ramped up (the van that crashed into ours was UNDER our double decker bus) in the air….is….well…
Shout out to Illvibe and DJ Panek on the cuts. Directed by Benjamin Ahr Harrison. Album available on iTunes and from Kru Records.

Philly, what did we do before the Barbary? Like seriously, I’m there at least twice a week and would be there more if I didn’t have a job, like probably 7. Thank you Jhn Rdn. Congrats on 1 year.
It’s a Diplo party. I don’t even think they need to announce these on the Internet anymore. Just send out some Carrier pigeons, pretty sure it would still sell out. After party at Mausoleum. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by the DJ’s / live production there either. Lets Go!!!!
Beer Rave is back at Medusa this Saturday!!! Lets see, sweatiness, lots of beer, shots, Let Me Ride Crew, Peter Dragontail and The Rip Off from DC. Can you dig it? Pics from last jawn. Free before 11, $5 after, Medusa 21st and Chestnut.
2 mixes courtesy of the special guests.

Killer refix from Gregg Nyce currently getting spun by dj’s all over including Cipha Sounds on Hot 97. You may remember from the resident night he held down with Low Budget at the 5 Spot. Gregg is back with a vengeance and picking up like he never left off. Catch Gregg next in Philly at Shampoo November 28th.
Just did a quick blend at the crib…definitely a banger or transition blend..Enjoy.
Canceled! L&I has once again shut down the Arts Garage. Apparently the bribe wasn’t big enough/there was no bribe for L&I so, shut down again. Mayor Nutter, please reform this bullshit agency.
Members only was supposed to be a weekly party from 11 - 4 AM. Keep posted for when the Arts Garage will maybe actually be open again.
Diplo celebrates his birthday with the last show of the tour right here in Philly. 125 pizzas are being ordered. Mr. Pizza will be stage diving and crowd surfing. Blaqstarr joins in the madness. 8-11pm
at Delicious Boutique on Liberties Walk
A benefit event in conjunction with
Engine 29/Rescue 1/Medic 15.
Delicious Boutique in Northern Liberties is celebrating its 3 year anniversary on Friday, November 14th, 2008, 8-11pm, by hosting a charity event featuring the men and women of Engine 29/Rescue 1/Medic 15. The event will raise money for the Hero Thrill Show Inc, which provides financial assistance for education to the children of Firefighters and Police Officers who lost their lives serving the city of Philadelphia.
Delicious specializes in higher quality clothing with a rock ‘n’ roll feel for both men and women. They also design and produce custom corsets on site. Delicious constantly strives to design events to promote the boutique as well as raise awareness of and money for charitable organizations. In February 2008, Delicious auctioned off one-of-a-kind corsets that were hand painted by local and national artists. The Corsets For A Cure event raised more than $4,000 for the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation and also raised money to help a local mother of six who was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer.
For this year’s event, Delicious is honoring the service and sacrifices of Firefighters who selflessly give to our community. Men and women of Engine 29/Rescue 1/Medic 15 will be modeling clothing from the boutique. In addition to private, discounted shopping at Delicious, the event includes: performance by Peek-A-Boo Revue; food provided Full Plate Café, Swallow and Homeslice; beverages provided by Philadelphia Brewing Company; and raffle prizes provided by the merchants of Liberties Walk. All ticket sales and raffle money will be donated to the Hero Thrill Show as well as a percentage of the boutique sales during the event.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at Delicious Boutique, Passional, or online at www.DeliciousBoutique.com. Remaining tickets, if available, will be sold at the door.
