This past weekend saw the launch of AUFPhiladelphia at North Bowl. We sent over some questions in the past week to get and idea of who and what AUF is. What is AUF?
AUF stands for “A UNITED FRONT” Its the way I feel we need to act to establish Philadelphia as producer of fine goods that other cities should take notice of.
Will you stock Philly brands exclusively or will there be other clothes as well?

Saturday, Fresh Melt Water celebrates the release of their brand new line Raise Hell at their shop in the Piaza. Music and drinks start at 5 PM with DJ’s Frosty and Reizes. There are a total of 7 designs and 3 hats in this release. There will be another release in this collection after the holidays. Check out the collection here.
Hip hop band Dephonic are celebrating the release of their album Dephonition this Saturday at the Fresh Melt Water Shop and then Johnny Brendas with Mr. Lif and Writtenhouse. Stop by the FMW shop, in the Piazza, from 6-9 for free beer from Stoudts and performances from Sock the Rapper, Scanz and The Paxtons. Be sure to check out the Dephonic x FMW tee “Cover the World”. Then doors open at 9 with a $12 cover for the main event with Writtenhouse, Dephonic and Mr. Lif at Johnny Brendas. Performances start at 9:45.
Simplefly goes to CMJ tomorrow at the Red Bull Space in NYC and brings along King Britt, Cosmo Baker, Eli Escobar and Jay Yo and Dirty who are all playing for free at the Red Bull Space. All you have to do is RSVP at JayYo@simplefly.net. Afterwards Dave P and Fixed are doing a party at Santos with Aeroplane. The best part? There is a free bus leaving from the Piazza at 6. Red Bull Public Assembly is coming to Philly to find out who throws the best party. There were originally 3 competitors vying for the chance to throw an all expense paid party at CMJ in NYC this Fall. However, it appears that one has fell through.
The youngest entry in the competition is Jay Yo and his production company Simplefly. Young Jay Yo has picked an all star line up with Philly’s own Amanda Blank headlining and performing live with Baltimore Bass Connection DJ’s Devlin & Darko. Not content, he has added 2 heavyweight NYC dj’s Eli Escobar and Philly’s own Cosmo Baker. Rounding out the experience will be Mad Decent’s own System D-128 on visuals. It all happens Tuesday September 22nd at Woodys, 202 S 13th. The event is free but you must have a ticket. Tickets are available now at Fresh Melt Water in the Piazza and wherever you see Jay in the streets. It’s a Red Bull night, so Red Bull & Stoli are $3 all night.
