Philagrafika 2010 is in full swing and tonight features 7 events tonight and 12 throughout the weekend. What is Philagrafika?

Philagrafika 2010 is the first presentation of what will become a recurring event in Philadelphia, celebrating the role of print in contemporary artistic practice.

Involving more than 300 artists at more than 80 venues throughout the city, Philagrafika 2010 will be one of the largest art events in the United States and the world’s most important print-related exposition.

Starting tomorrow, It’s 4AM will actually be open until 4AM as Jay Yo & Dirty are moving the party to Club Samba and bringing along Sammy Slice, Shawn Ryan, Gentle Giant and a surprise guest.  Word is that Camo UFOs will be making an appearance…You may want to bring glowsticks cause there is going to be a fog machine and black lights and camo ufos and all sorts of awesomeness thats going to happen between 2 and 4.  Doors open at 10 with $1 PBRs and free entry before midnight.

Watch as they command with slight flicks of the wrist hundreds of people to dance to house and mnml. Staccato have seen quite a bit of buzz around the spheres and verses and the tubes. Topstitch is moving into the old Deep Sleep storefront and is having a grand opening party the first friday of April. The new digs offer better foot traffic and a ground floor storefront. This Friday, March 20th, they are having a moving sale as well as a silent auction from 6 - 8:30. The following Friday is a farewell party at 6PM. The following Friday, April 3rd, is the official grand opening.
