What? Yeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Round 2 in the Motivation series, this time featuring DJ Benzi, Mick Boogie and Neoteric with Lil Jon hosting. Expect tracks from Emynd, Mano, Villains, Crookers, Diplo, Apt One, Curses, Bird Peterson, Switch and many more. 55 tracks in all. Recommended to get you up and dancing.
Email us to win a limited edition 7″ featuring the Hood Headlinaz and the Get Em Mamis the latest in the series from SoCo and The Fader. The Hood Headlinaz are part of the Paper Router Gangstaz or at least Paper Route Records. Either way, the PRGz have an upcoming release on Mad Decent records. Meanwhile, on the other side is the Get Em Mamis representing Bawlmore.
The record’s a-side is by Huntsville, Alabama’s Hood Headlinaz song Tip Down. Part of the Paper Route Recordz crew who were featured in FADER 51, Hood Headlinaz is a young group of do-it-yourself southern rappers. The song was produced in-house by Paper Route’s Mali Boi. The b-side is the Get ‘Em Mamis’ “They Jockin,’” which was produced for them by the duo Darkroom Productions (both Darkroom and the Get ‘Em Mamis have been featured in FADER). Another young group, the two women of Get ‘Em Mamis first found notoriety as part of the local soundtrack to The Wire. The sleeve’s cover art was created quite simply by artist sign painter Michael Genovese. Though he is both a painter and sculpter, Genovese has a side career as a sign painter, which he did here, simply painting a wall bodega-style with the songs and artists.
Email 5151List [at] gmail with the subject “So Faded Hood Mamis” and the name of the DJ’s responsible for Paper Route Gangstaz Fear and Loathing in Hunts Vegas. There will be consolation prizes, I have mad mixtapes. I think I have an AEIOU 2, Shake it to the Ground remixes and more!
Oh hellz yeah. Benzi and Mick Boogie, easily 2 of my favorite mixtape DJ’s right about now, have teamed up and put together this massive mix. This bangs harder than a conjugal visit (no Bay Area). Lots of remix favorites in here including Krames, Eli, Mick and Benzi, Skipmode, DJ Sega, Nephets (who is playing tonight at Inciting) and more. Original tracks include Kanye, Kid Sister, T2 and Heartbroken, Snoop Dogg and more all spread out over 48 tracks.
Ok, attempt 2. I had a post here before with the download link and all that. Blogger seems to have ate it though. So, None Higher is a special edition of the the We Got The Remix series from DJ Benzi and the Evil Empire. Last year saw the Clipse mixtape and it was pure fiyah! This year sees Weezy F. Baby, the self proclaimed greatest rapper alive. There is alot of talk about he might could be and some of his guest appearances provide solid evidence. I’m still a little mad at him for throwing Drama under the bus but this mix proves why he could be the greatest. Check the tracklist below, producers include Neptunes, Diplo, Curtis Vodka, Catchdubs, David Banner, Timbaland and more.

DJ Benzi and Evil Empire have dropped their We Got the Remix featuring 30 tracks remixed for the Clipse.
Almost a year in the making, the Clipse’s star-studded We Got The Remix mixtape is presented by Detroit-area remix kingpin DJ Benzi and mixtape mavens the Evil Empire. Fully endorsed and hosted by the Clipse, We Got The Remix features never-before-heard remixes of tracks from the massively successful We Got It 4 Cheap mixtape, as reworked by a group of today’s hottest young producers: Diplo, Ghislain Poirier, A.Brucker & Sinden, Nick Catchdubs, Jake One, The Amps, and more!
Also featured are exclusive, unreleased and rare tracks from the Clipse, including their heavy-hitting single “Mr. Me Too” with Pharrell, and including guest appearances from Missy Elliot, Vybz Kartel, Kardinal Offishall, Roscoe P. Coldchain and the rest of the Re-Up Gang. To top it all off, the CD is mixed front-to-back by DJ Benzi, who also lends one of his patented “refixes” to the set.
30 tracks, the Clipse in the only way you can hear them (Startrak whats up with the album?), remixes from Diplo, Catchdubs, Ghislain Poirier, and more, guest spots from Missy, Pharrell, Vybz Kartel, Re Up Gang all for $6 with shipping? Surely you jest sir. Go get it here
