Saturday is going to be ridiculously awesome. There are way too many excellent events to go to so I decided to throw all 10 together in one mega post.
First up:
- Head to the Arts Garage from2 - 7 for the artists & designers market with vending and live art from Amanda Diva, Heidi Rolland, Flygirrl and more. There will be drink specials, food, DJ’s and plenty of art & fashion for yourself or will make great presents for your loved ones.
More after the jump
- Head to the P.O.P.E. for their annual chili cook off featuring the ladies of IPA and POPE regulars. $5 gets you unlimited chili from 1 PM until its gone.
- Walk across the street to B2 from 6 - 8 for their Holiday Bizarre Saturday and Sunday!
- Head to Amberella gallery from 7 - 10 for the launch of Myles Smutney’s Nuthin But Trouble 2010 Pin Up calendar. Night Train DJs Ian St. Laurent and Dennis Wolf Fang will be providing the sounds with free PBR and Sailor Jerry Drinks dispensed by pin-up shot girls. Get a sneak peek of the calendar at MomTriedCalendar.com
Now that you’ve had your fill of art and chili, what to do at night?
- The Philadelphyinz celebrate their 4th anniversary together at Medusa. No cover all night. Hosted by Lexie.
- Hip hop heads rejoice, the legendary Ca$h Money is at Fluid! $10 all night. $3 drinks and $2 beers til 12.
- House heads rejoice! It’s Mark Farina at the Barbary for Shakedown with Rob Paine and Willyum. Cover is $10 all night and doors open at 9:30 if you want to get there early to guarantee a spot.
- Bonus: Shakedown mixes from last month
- For houses heads, you could also go see Anthony Acid at Prive, 246 Market. Anthony has been producing and DJing since 1989!
- Head west to Marbar (40th and Walnut) with the ladies of Double Dutch & Topstitch Boutique for Double Trouble. Gang wil be performing. Topstitch and Love Illuminati will present a fashion show. Maggie horn, Radio Rose, Jasmine Solano and Gun$ Garcia are DJing. Rose from Sweatheart is hosting and Rakia will be on the Red Carpet. Cover is $5 til 12 and $10 after with doors at 9. The first 40 people get 2 free PBRs. If West Philly is to far, catch the shuttle bus from Amberella gallery starting at 10.
- If that wasn’t enough, the big homie DJ Eleven from The Rub in NYC will be down here spinning at PYT with Sammy Slice. No cover all night and $1 drinks from 10 - 11.
Man, when it rains, it pours.
