Jimi Hendrix!!!! Jimi was one of my favorites growing up, I was a bit obsessed wanting to own like every single album. The Blues album is so good, highly slept on. One Rainy Wish off of Axis: Bold as Love was my perfect song in high school. On the one hand I was listening to gangster rap, hardcore and Nine Inch Nails and on the other hand, One Rainy Wish. It is such a beautiful song. Live youtube version after the jump. Doesn’t quite do it justice.

On November 12th, Mitch Mitchell was found dead in his hotel room. Mitch was the last surviving member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In honor of Jimi, DJ Concept has created a mix featuring a small portion of his immense catalaog.
