This weekend come out and celebrate at the 5th annual West Oak Lane Jazz Festival. This year’s festival features the O’Jays (”Backstabbers”, “Love Train”), War (”Low Rider”, Kevin Eubanks, Ashford and Simpson (”You’re All I Need”, “Aint No Mountain High Enough”) and many more.

I went last year and will definitely not be missing this year. WAR performed last year as well and their live show is amazing. The festival is completely free and outside in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia. There are many shuttles running for free from around the city. If you live in Center City shuttles leave every 30 mins from 6th and Market starting at 1. Riding in one of the shuttles down 76 is something else if you’re sitting next to the window.
