Converse shoes, just recently launched a new ad campaign entitled “Connectivity”. It includes artists from all over like Sofie from Care Bears on Fire, N.E.R.D., Eleanor Friedberger from The Fiery Furnaces, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Yacht, and of course Kid Sister. Front and center, they’ve featured Philly’s own Santogold right between Julian Casablancas and Pharrell Williams. When they originally started this campaign, they had included artists from the past and the present to celebrate their 100 years in existence including James Dean and M.I.A. This time they’ve decided to use semi-famous artists, and you can even preview their songs on the website if you’ve never heard of them before (which for most, might be the case). They even gone as far to included a song, a collaboration of Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Santogold and N.E.R.D. entitled “My Drive Thu,” which can be heard and downloaded on their website as well. Apparently they are going to be coming out with a video for this song as well…I wonder what kind of shoes they’ll be wearing in it?
